Joan Lorraine NixJoan Lorraine Nix of Glen Ellyn, age 91, died peacefully of natural causes at home on August 8, 2024, with her family by her side.Joan is the beloved mother of Shelley (Dierking-Nix) Hovde of Glen Ellyn and Lindsey (Eric Probst) Nix of Port Wash, WI. Dear grandmother of Peter Lill-Hovde, Mike Hovde, Jon Hovde and Joe Probst; and dear great-grandmother of Jordan and Aaron Hovde and Heather Morgan. She is also survived by her nieces, Allison (Richert) Stasiak and Susan (Richert) McAdams; her uncle, Tom (Jan) Hill and aunt, Ludy (Hill) Tross; and extended family and friends.Joan was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Nix, they were married for 60 years until he passed in 2018.
