Carruthers, Steven CraigSteven Craig Carruthers, 72, of Arlington Heights passed away peacefully in his home on July 1. 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Margaret and his parents Samuel and Geraldine (nee Nave) Carruthers. Steven was the devoted father of John (Emily), Maggie, Sarah (Tom Scrace Jr.) and Sam (Taylor); Loving grandfather of Jane, Henry, Lucy, Sam and Margaret Carruthers, and John Scrace. Dear brother, fond brother-in-law, kind uncle, and good friend to many. Steven was a 30 + year resident of McHenry and civil engineer for the City of Crystal Lake. Visitation will be held at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E Irving Park Road (at Prospect) Itasca, from 4:00-8:00 pm on Friday, July 5th. Family and friends will meet Saturday, July 6th at Saint James Catholic Church, 820 N Arlington Heights Road for a visitation from 9:00-10:00 am.
