Irving K. Vaughn, age 71, a longtime resident of Bolingbrook, IL, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024, surrounded by the love of family. He was born on August 12, 1952, in Chicago, IL, to the late Irving and Macy. Irving was a loving, supportive husband and a treasured friend of many.
Irving is survived by his loving wife, Robin, with whom he spent more than three decades, as well as a lifetime of family and friends.
Irving was a proud US Navy veteran and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. He dedicated 40 years to Argonne National Laboratory and retired in 2014. Irving loved spending time being the captain of his boat on the Upper Dells River, enjoying campfires and following his passions of fishing, golfing, and devoting time to his sweet dogs Ebony and Oreo. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
