Allan Roy Elliott, 89, passed away on June 26, 2024, in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Allan was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on February 25, 1935, to Allan Arthur Elliott and Sadie Wilhelmina Chase Elliott. Allan spent 3 years in the US Army, where he was a lab technician stationed in Springfield, Massachusetts (1957-1959). Allan married Diane Marie Laneville from Watertown, Connecticut in October 1957. Allan and Diane raised 4 children together. Allan, a chrome plater by trade, moved his family to Oak Park, Illinois in 1977 where he worked at Chromium Industries until his retirement in 1997. Allan and Diane were married for 31 years, before divorcing in 1988.
After moving to Oak Park, Allan and his children attended Calvary Memorial Church. He taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, ushered, and worked part-time as a custodian. He met and fell in love with Phyllis Stipe at Calvary Memorial, where they were married on July 7, 1990. Allan and Phyllis made their home in Hillside, Illinois
